BAUCAN

Bauçan, poète d'images, de musique et de mots. Né à Montréal en 1968. Autodidacte, il abandonne ses études collégiales pour se consacrer à son art. Début vingtaine, il fonde avec Luc Courchesne le regroupement d'artistes "le Cénacle de l'Étendard", qui devient en même temps une maison d'éditions de livre de poésie. Il y publie deux recueils, et participe à plusieurs autres collectifs. Entre quelques lectures de poésie, il enregistre un album de musique sous étiquette indépendante et réalise un court métrage vidéo. Avide d'aventures, il a parcouru à pied l'Île de Baffin et traverser le Canada en faisant du pouce (en auto-stop). À l'âge de 24 ans, pendant son premier voyage en Europe, il expose ses peintures dans une galerie de Pont-Aven, en Bretagne (la ville où Gauguin a vécu). Quelques années plus tard, il invente, et conçoit un appareil photo antique en papier, fonctionnant avec une vraie pellicule. Après avoir vendu son invention à la compagnie Wrebbit, il voyage pendant trois ans, de la République Tchèque jusqu'en Afrique du Nord. Il vit le plus souvent en thaillande.

• Nationnal Gallery ( Thaillande - Bangkok)
  The Foundation of the National Gallery The old Royal Mint building was presented to the Fine Arts Department by the Treasury Department, The Ministry of Finance for conversion it to the National Gallery on April 19,1974 The Grand opening ceremony was planned to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's birthday and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided this place on August 8, 1977. The Royal Mint This Building was constructed in the reign of King Rama V to serve as a factory producing coins due to the need of His Majesty the King to create money for use for the first time in the country. He presided over the building and operated the machine himself on February 4, The first Royal Mint of the nation is in a western architectural style influenced by a factory in Birmingham, England, made of brick and with a gable roof. The building has two wings and a court in the center. Visitors can also enter the courtyard by walking through a big vaulted door on the right hand size.

• Nationnal Gallery (Malaysie - Kuala Lumpur)
  The Permanent Collection of the National Art Gallery, Malaysia consist of more than two thousand art works by both local and foreign artists. Collected over the years since its establishment in 1958, the Permanent Collection represents visual artists drawn from the multi-ethnic communities that is unique to the Malaysian society.The National Art Gallery will continue to acquire exceptional art pieces to promote the diversity and complexity of Malaysian artists and their creative talents to the Malaysian art community and the general public at large and in conjunction with other galleries to the world audience.
  
• Museum of Asian Art (Malaysie - Kuala Lumpur)
  The Museum of Asian Art which was officially opened in 1980, is housed in a three storey building situated between the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics and Administration. The Museum contains more than two thousand pieces of ceramics from Malaysia, Thailand, Khmer, Vietnam, China, Japan, India and Iran and it is already well known as the largest collection of kendi water vessels in the world.. Stones carvings and Islamic art collections (from Asian Countries), weaved materials and paintings by local artists, copper items, weapons and kites are also on display.
