- Mohamed
TAHDAINI

Mohamed Tahdaini's ideas are well reflected by creating a union between geometrics,
movement and color in his abstract art. Born in 1965 in Agadir, Morocco, Mohamed
Tahdaini has always had a love of music and art. His father, who was in the
building trade, was a major influence with knowledge of design and decoration.
Although he followed the wishes of his father to study at the Ibnou Zouher
University in AGADIR, music, poetry and painting were his true loves. With
the encouragement of his teachers and family the classrooms were always decorated
by his works. Mohamed frequently played his banjo for school festivities and
parties for friends. When asked about his work: "I do not paint whenever
I want, but when I feel the need. It's a matter of feelings. Sometimes I wake
at night and start to paint. It's not a question of time. It has to do with
something inside of me, emotions, personality, temperament and feelings. Life
as a whole is my origin and the beauty inside is my creative inspiration.
Most of the time, I use oil paint, from time to time I use a mixture of acrylic
with oil but do not have a tendency to use watercolor. Any interesting matter
can be the subject of my artwork. My paintings treat different topics related
to one's life. I think that art can deal with any subject if the artist is
ready. When I start to paint by submitting to my feelings it's my imagination
which takes the leadership. I never have a certain framework before painting.
What is important for me is the desire to paint a piece of artwork. I do not
intend to paint one or two pieces; it's up to my imagination and to the ability
of my sincere feelings. I can paint three pieces in one day; and sometimes,
I can not paint one during a month. So, the act of painting does not depend
on me it is due to its own will. In other ways it's the creativity which imposes
its rules, even the colors impose themselves upon me, and I do not have the
freedom to choose them. It's a sense of creativity. I think that if I choose
colors and prepare the framework it will not be art but architecture. I let
myself go to the field of art when I have time, and when it is a right time
which is confirmed by the feelings and the eager of imagination. My goal as
an artist is to create a new style, a new school in the domain of paintings
and to be recognized world wide. I hope to see my paintings known by everyone
who is interested in art and to be recognized relying only on its own style
not by my signature. " Mohamed Tahdaini's wide range of imagination is
expressed in his abstract approach to painting. His creativity has no limits
while expressing his feelings with bright colours and unusual shapes. After
graduation, he works in Quarzazate, South of Morocco. In 2002 he married and
now has two sons.

Musées
- Rabat la Capitale comprend quelques musées : voici quelques grands musées
- Museum of Morocco (Rabat)
The museum is situated in the opulent lodge built by Moulay Ismail in the XVIIth century as his Rabat residence. The garden is the first of its masterpieces. The exuberance of the vegetation softens the strict geometry of its paths. Flower beds, fountains and ramparts make it the very finest of all andalusian gardens. At the far end is a room reproducing an ancient Moroccan interior with a vast bay opening onto this glorious spectacle. Cushions in brocade, silk and gold cover the divans all around the room. A little further on, in a cool marble room, stand rows of very old illuminated Korans, jewellery, pottery and musical instruments.
The exceptional carpet collection deserves particular attention. The city style Rabat carpet can have as many as 150,000 stitches per square metre! The craftsmen - or rather the artists - have taken up traditional motifs and developed them inventively. Using a less elaborate technique, the rural carpets, called berbers, demonstrate a powerful sense of composition, colour and ornamentation which is an art of its own with a unique appeal.
- Museum of Morocco (Tanger)
The imposing silhouette of the Dar el Makhzen dominates the Tangier kasbah. Formerly the governor's palace, it was built in the XVIIth century and is laid out around a splendid patio decorated with enamelled faience.
The Museum of Moroccan Arts is housed in the prince's apartments which are indeed princely: painted wooden ceilings, sculpted plaster work and mosaics, all of them exquisite. A worthy setting for works of art from all over Morocco, which are honoured as prestigious ambassadors of their regions.
