Artiste japonaise - There are endless possibilities in the art of abstraction. Formal concerns such as structure, color, and paint application are simply the means, not the end for me. As the inner character of the sitter is rendered by a portrait painter, what could be transmitted by the form of abstraction is boundless.   Summer Seminar's Registration this year was ended. Much Registration, thank you very much. The Kyoto National Museum proudly announces the recent renewal of our website, which was originally launched in 1996 and has received over 2.16 million visitors. We hope that you will visit our new and improved website, starting mid-May of 2004.
