Artiste japonaise - There are endless possibilities in the art of abstraction. Formal concerns such as structure, color, and paint application are simply the means, not the end for me. As the inner character of the sitter is rendered by a portrait painter, what could be transmitted by the form of abstraction is boundless. I have been searching for specific images that can be created by abstract techniques, the images that elicit particular emotions: optimistic feeling, positive attitude, and cheerfulness. --- Expos --- : Born in Okinawa, Japan 2005 - Spain Artprize Exhibition, Santander City, Spain 2005 - Galerie GORA, Montreal, Canada 2003 - 450 Broadway Gallery, One person show, New York City, USA 2000 - Salon de Mitsu, One person show, Okinawa, Japan 1999 - Metaphore Fine Arts, New York City, USA 1995 - Koyokai Exhibition, Nagasaki, Japan 1998 - Artists' House Gallery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA 1992 - Peace Art Exhibition, Okinawa, Japan 1991
